Description

 8+ years of hands-on Database Administration experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong SQL Server administration expertise, including deep knowledge of T-SQL and performance tuning.
• Experience with MySQL administration and support.
• Proven success leading or heavily contributing to on-premises to cloud migration initiatives.
• Ability to make technical recommendations and influence database strategy rather than simply execute assigned tasks.
• Experience supporting high-availability environments, including clustering, replication, and other HA/DR technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Transparent Data Encryption (TDE).
• Experience managing transactional jobs, ETL processes, database deployments, and change management activities.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and effectively operate in an evolving environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Azure and/or AWS database platforms.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise database environments.
• Exposure to additional database technologies such as PostgreSQL or Couchbase.
• Experience implementing automation, monitoring, and database operational best practices.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
•    Lead administration and support of SQL Server environments across production, development, and testing platforms.
•    Partner with infrastructure, development, and architecture teams to plan and execute on-premises to cloud database migrations.
•    Evaluate existing database environments and recommend improvements related to architecture, performance, scalability, and security.
•    Perform database performance tuning, optimization, monitoring, backup, recovery, and maintenance activities.
•    Support high-availability and disaster recovery solutions, including clustering and replication technologies.
•    Execute database change requests, transactional jobs, ETL processes, and SQL scripting activities.
•    Implement and maintain database security standards, including Transparent Data Encryption (TDE).
•    Troubleshoot complex database issues and provide proactive solutions to minimize risk and downtime.
•    Contribute to automation and operational best practices that improve efficiency and reliability.
•    Work effectively in a fast-paced environment while balancing project work and day-to-day operational support.
