Job Overview

Amazon Robotics is seeking a Manufacturing Functional Technician III to support the manufacturing, debugging, and testing of complex robotic systems. This role requires strong technical expertise in troubleshooting, quality inspection, and process improvement, with the ability to collaborate closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure successful production outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

As a Manufacturing Functional Technician III, you will:

  • Perform troubleshooting activities for manufacturing products, using data and observations to assist in debug and root cause analysis.
  • Conduct hardware inspections, identifying discrepancies and documenting findings to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Assemble first article builds, test fixtures, racks, and associated wiring, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
  • Provide feedback to mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineering teams on tooling, consumables, debugging processes, and test setups.
  • Maintain and update team Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), documenting process improvements and changes.
  • Perform tasks across multiple defined process paths, escalating issues when deviations from standard processes occur.
  • Meet productivity, quality, and safety standards while identifying opportunities for process optimization.
  • Lead or support small-scale process improvement initiatives such as 6S or defect reduction projects.
  • Participate in training programs for peers and assist in developing new hires within your process area.
  • Maintain security and proper usage of company assets, equipment, and tools used in daily operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing methods and support continuous improvement initiatives.
