Metrology Equipment Maintenance Technician

Job SummarySeeking a Senior Metrology Equipment Maintenance Technician to ensure optimal metrology equipment operation and efficiency. Responsibilities include scheduled preventative maintenance, unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing CDSEM and Defect Inspection, and Defect Review SEM toolsets. Ideal candidates will have factory training, technical certification, or equivalent experience and strong team communication skills. The role is full-time, on-site, and supports Fab production.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) on the metrology toolset within Fab25Conduct failure analysis and troubleshoot equipment failuresMonitor equipment processes and seek opportunities for improvementDiagnoses and troubleshoots mechanical and electrical issuesDisassemble, clean, and rebuild the metrology subsystemReplace worn or damaged SEM componentsMaintain accurate maintenance records and documentationEnsure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulationsCollaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve equipment-related issuesMonitor tools' performance and recommend improvements or upgradesMaintain the inventory of spare parts and tools required for tool service

Qualifications

2-year technical certification or 7 years of semiconductor technician experience7 years of experience in metrology tool maintenanceStrong understanding of metrology tool operation principlesAbility to read and interpret technical manuals and schematicsProficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipmentBasic computer skills for documentation and reportingStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsUnderstanding of SPC and FDC, with a focus on improving overall equipment performance

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift to 50 lbs.Comfortable working in cleanroom or industrial environmentsStanding, bending, and working in confined spaces as required
