The Senior Metrologist will lead the Ocala Metrology team in advancing precision measurement and calibration systems across various applications.
Responsibilities include designing, evaluating, and refining calibration methods based on measurement science principles, identifying error sources, and performing hands-on calibration of electronic, optical, pneumatic, temperature, dimensional, and pressure instruments.
Key tasks involve analyzing measurement problems, recommending technical solutions, documenting procedures, and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
Ideal candidates are collaborative, detail-oriented professionals with 3-6 years of calibration/metrology experience, familiar with automated calibration software, and skilled in multiple disciplines of calibration including physical/dimensional, torque, pressure, and optics.
Qualifications include experience with computer-controlled test equipment, team collaboration, and the ability to obtain a secret security clearance. The role is onsite in Ocala, Florida, offering flexible schedules and comprehensive benefits.
