Metallurgical Engineer

The position of Metallurgical Engineer has overall responsibility for the metallurgical aspects of products beginning with customer inquiry through customer service after shipment.This position will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING:
- Review and comment on customer material specifications.
- Conduct order reviews to ensure that the metallurgical aspects of the customer purchase order are met.
- Provide technical support for the Sales Department and Operations.
- Product and process development.
- Conduct customer claim investigations and provide recommendations.
- Analysis and disposition of internal non-conformances and mechanical test failures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
§Four-year Degree in Metallurgy or Metallurgical Engineering
§Five years experience in ferrous metallurgy (Heavy metal section experience preferred)
§Experience with Ni and Ti experience required.
§Strong personal computer skills, including Microsoft office programs
§Excellent organizational skills
§Must be results oriented with a strong desire to succeed.
§Regional travel required.
