Description

Under indirect supervision, you will transform raw, welded metal components into beautiful, seamlessly blended showpieces.

  • Grind, sand, and polish TIG/MIG weld joints on premium stainless steel and aluminum panels (10-22 gauge) to achieve an exact factory satin or mirrored finish.

  • Conduct meticulous visual and tactile inspections to detect and eliminate flat-spots, scratches, porosity, or discoloration.

  • Maintain a highly organized, clean workspace following our 5S principles to prevent material and tool contamination (keeping stainless steel pristine).

  • Partner directly with our Welding and Quality Control teams to ensure parts move seamlessly down the production line with zero cosmetic defect

  • Automotive Body Prepper, Collision Sander, Metal Finisher, Stainless Polisher, Fabricator, Detailer, Abrasive Blending, #4 Satin Finish.

Work Experience:

We are looking for individuals who view metal finishing as a craft, not just a job

  • Hands-on experience in metal polishing, blending, or grinding. Experience in automotive collision repair (body prep/sanding), custom motorcycle/car fabrication, or aerospace sheet metal finishing is highly preferred.
  • A natural ability to read the reflection of light off a metal surface to verify contour, flushness, and grain consistency
  • Proficient with pneumatic hand grinders, files, flap discs, scotch-brite blending wheels, stroke sanders and basic measuring instruments (calipers/tape measures).
  • A safety-first professional who respects Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, always wears appropriate PPE, and treats every component like a premium product.
  • 1-3 (years)

Education and Experience

Requires 3-5 years of experience with use of hand, power & pneumatic tools in a manufacturing

facility.

Forklift operation certificate desirable

Basic to Intermediate Computer and math skills, with Basic proficiency in reading and

interpreting blueprints and technical drawings and Basic knowledge of different metal types and

their properties.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectively.

Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time, perform repetitive

movements

A highly self-motivated, dependable, and flexible team player with good communication skills and

strong work ethic, positive attitude, that can work effectively as a team member with close

attention to detail.

Decision Authority

Job is fairly routine. Duties are performed with specific directions given and work is checked or verified visually on a frequent basis. Decisions are made with specific operational instructions and departmental guidelines.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed primarily in the manufacturing facility, although outdoor tasks are sometimes required. Lighting is artificial and adequate. Equipment used may include the use of telephones, power tools, hand tools, plumbing tools, and power-driven lift trucks. Individuals will have constant exposure to dust, noise, heat, cold, fumes and chemicals. Physical demands include standing, walking, bending over, crawling, climbing, reaching overhead, kneeling, crouching, balancing, pushing and pulling, repetitive use of both hands, grasping, fine dexterity, being around other work equipment and machinery, driving cars, trucks, forklifts, walking on uneven ground, as well as lifting up to 50 lbs. Hourly Pay Rate $21.00-25.00 DOE
