Responsibilities:
  • Uses Point of Sale software on computerized cash register; serves as liaison with IT for updates and issues.
  • Overseeing ordering and maintaining of inventory in conjunction with management. This includes both online and in person at wholesale markets.
  • Ensures that merchandise is properly received, priced and inventoried or distributed to gift shop or requesting department.
  • Supervises gift shop employees and volunteers.
  • Maintains department staff schedule ensuring coverage of shop during regular hours of operation and for special events.
  • Communicate and uses appropriate customer relation skills with physicians, patients, families, healthcare team and staff in person and via telephone.
  • Completes register closing logs at end of day and prepare deposit.
  • Accepts and completes all duties positively and without conflict.
  • Completes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirements
  • Adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards
  • Regular and prompt attendance
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required
  • Related duties as assigned
Additional Information:

Employees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 1 year of retail experience Required
  • Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.
