Merchandise Technician – Bealls/Burkes Outlet Stores (West Coast Office) FUNCTION: As a Merchandise Technician with our organization, you will need to perform administrative and clerical duties for one or more of our Buyers. The position is mainly data entry, including such tasks as entering in purchase orders, declaring items in our system, making price changes and entering in marketing/advertisement data into the system. Other duties include using Microsoft Excel and Word to process tasks, including writing bulletins, memos, making plans and organizing trip itineraries for the Buyers. Your main function will be to support our Merchandising Team… so we are looking for individuals who are organized, fast paced, have a great attention to detail, can multi-task, enjoy working with others and love the fast-paced environment of retail! SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES [Essential Functions]: - Perform data entry functions, such as item declaration, purchase order entry and maintenance/inquiry, price changes/markdowns and transfers. - Perform word processing tasks, such as bulletin submittal forms, memos and recaps. - Generate Buyer's itinerary for their market trips. - Filing, report and mail distribution, office administration. - Provide vendors with selling information, order information, pre-ticket information, and check delivery of on-order. - Resolve purchase order discrepancies with vendors. - Reconcile invoices to purchase orders. - Sample management including requests, returns to vendors and stores transfers. - Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: - High School Diploma or equivalent is required. - Must have some retail experience. - Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. - Fluent in English.
