Responsibilities include load calculations, ductwork and piping design, equipment selection, specification preparation and review, and coordination with architectural and engineering disciplines. You'll be expected to communicate clearly with project stakeholders and proactively identify and resolve design issues throughout the project lifecycle.What We're Looking ForRequired:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related fieldAt least 2 years of HVAC and/or plumbing engineering experience in the MEP industryEIT certification or equivalent experience.Working proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCADProficiency in Bluebeam RevuExperience with California‑specific HVAC load calculation and energy compliance software, including Trane TRACE 3D Plus or Carrier HAP for load calculations, and EnergyPro for Title 24 complianceWorking knowledge of ASHRAE, IMC, IPC, NFPA, and California Energy Codes (Title 24)Experience preparing or reviewing project specifications and construction documentsNice to Have:Experience with IES‑VE or equivalent energy modeling and performance analysis toolsFamiliarity with federal and military project delivery, including UFCs and UFGSBackground in civic, institutional, or industrial project typesCompensation$80,000 – $130,000, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and demonstrated capability.Schedule & LocationPrimary Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PMLocation: San Diego, CA – primarily in‑office.Flexible‑Hybrid work schedule available after the introductory period for candidates who have established their workflow.How to ApplyApply through LinkedIn or email your resume as a PDF to info@elenconsulting.com.We are not accepting inquiries from recruiters or placement agencies.#J-18808-Ljbffr
