MEP Designer (Commercial, Healthcare, K-12, Higher Education)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced MEP Designer to join our team in Stafford, TX. This role is responsible for developing high-quality mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) drawings for a variety of projects, including commercial buildings, hospitals, K-12 schools, and universities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical drafting skills, a solid understanding of industry standards, and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and develop MEP engineering drawings using Autodesk software, including AutoCAD and Revit
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to translate concepts into detailed design documents
- Prepare accurate schematics, layouts, and construction documents
- Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings to ensure coordination across disciplines
- Maintain, develop, and enhance company drafting standards
- Ensure consistency, quality, and accuracy across all project drawings
- Revise and update drawings based on project changes, feedback, and evolving requirements
- Organize and implement drafting standards to improve workflow efficiency and documentation quality
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (Autodesk suite required)
- Strong knowledge of technical and engineering drawings
- Experience reading and reviewing architectural plans
- High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Associates degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred
- Previous experience in MEP consulting or the construction industry preferred
