Required Skills
- Current CPR Certification
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting; 2 years preferred
- Prior inpatient or psychiatric experience highly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to perform patient care functions with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively during crisis situations
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols and infection control procedures
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience working specifically with pediatric or adolescent populations
- Knowledge of psychological interventions and developmentally appropriate care techniques
- Bilingual skills or multilingual abilities
- Certification in specialized mental health or behavioral support programs
Preferred Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree in related health field preferred
- Relevant certifications in mental health support or counseling preferred
- At least 1 year of inpatient mental health experience
Other Requirements
- Availability to work every other weekend and some holidays
- Ability to travel within the facility or unit as needed
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and ethical standards
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development
