The Child & Adolescent Neuropsychiatric Unit is an specialized inpatient unit for the psychiatric evaluation, stabilization, and treatment of children and adolescents with co-occurring developmental and psychiatric disorders. This 14-bed unit is the only one of its kind in Maryland, and offers a behavioral approach to care for these dually diagnosed children and adolescents.

This is a part-time, on-call position that requires availability to work 8 hours shifts (7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm or 11pm-7am) and every other weekend. 

What to expect. 

Under the close supervision of a licensed nurse, you will play an essential role in the planning and evaluation of patient needs based on individual behaviors and conditions.  

To prepare for the responsibilities of this role, you will begin extended clinical orientation and training immediately following your first day of employment through Sheppard Pratt’s Clinical Education Department.

              What we need from you.  

              • High school diploma or GED.  
              • An advanced degree in a human services field is strongly preferred, either in progress or already obtained.  
              • Past direct care or related experience is strongly preferred.  
              • For most positions, much be available to work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday). 

              The pay range for this position is $19.06 minimum to $22.95 maximum. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience.
