Job Summary:
Our client is looking for a Bilingual (English and Spanish) School Based Therapist in Salt Lake City who will be responsible for providing direct mental health services year-round to K-12 students and their families experiencing behavioral, substance use, and/or mental health difficulties. The therapist will also provide consultation services to school staff to support its students and the school's overall mental health goals.
Job Responsibilities:- Provide direct mental health services, including intake assessment, individual/family/group therapy, and crisis intervention to assigned clients.
- Maintain regular contact with the parent/guardian of each client (if appropriate).
- Complete the intake process and assessment.
- Complete treatment plans, treatment plan updates, and progress notes.
- Furnishes reports/updates to Juvenile Court, DCFS, school principals, school guidance counselors, teachers, treatment teams, and other involved agencies.
- Attends regularly scheduled school staff meetings and clinical staff meetings.
- Provides consultation for school staff regarding mental health issues, as needed/requested by staff/administrators.
- Provides complete and timely documentation to support services rendered.
Qualifications:- Current Utah licensure (includes CSWi, CSW, LCSW, ACMHC, CMHC, MFTi, AMFT, LMFT)
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Experience with a range of mental health and behavioral concerns
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Eligible to work in the USA
