United Recovery Project Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician (MHT) to join our Mental Health Residential Treatment Program. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting patients with high-acuity mental health disorders, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and other complex psychiatric conditions, while contributing to a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.

The ideal candidate is dependable, empathetic, and able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include supporting daily patient activities, ensuring safety and compliance, assisting clinical staff, and maintaining accurate documentation. Experience working with mental health or substance use populations is preferred but not required.
Candidates must be able to pass a Level 2 background screening in accordance with state regulations.
About the Role
The Mental Health Technician (MHT) plays a critical role in supporting patients within a structured residential setting. This position is responsible for monitoring patient safety, assisting with daily activities, facilitating therapeutic milieu structure, and providing direct support to individuals with high-acuity psychiatric conditions. MHTs work closely with the clinical and nursing teams to reinforce treatment goals, observe and report patient behaviors, and help maintain a safe and supportive environment.
This role focuses on ensuring continuity of care through consistent patient engagement, accurate and timely documentation, and adherence to program protocols. The MHT helps promote stability, structure, and accountability while supporting patients in their progress toward improved mental health and long-term recovery.
