· Maintains patient record and documentation according to policy. Uses Meditech software proficiently.
· Demonstrates the knowledge and skill to provide nursing care to the psychiatric patient under the direction of the RN. Works as a member of a team to assist with milieu management and performs job tasks to ensure personal, patient and departmental safety (rounds/safety searches).
· Communicates professionally and effectively with staff, physicians, management, external and internal customers. Ensures timely and accurate communication of patient information with all members of the treatment team.
· Leads or Co-Leads educational and diversionary groups for adolescents, adults, and substance abuse patients. Documents group progress notes for each patient each group.
· Adheres to all applicable policies and procedures. Supports the Mission of the Hospital
· Assists Charge Nurses and Shift Supervisor in maintaining efficiency.
· Follows established confidentiality policies (written, verbal, electronic and digital).
· Pursues and takes responsibility to enhance personal and professional growth.
· Other duties as assigned.
