Mental Health Technician II- Cottonwood Care Home Work hours of this position are 7am-7pm (Week 1 - Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Week 2 Monday, Thursday and Friday) This is a full time position located in Ashford, Alabama. **SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS & HOLIDAY PREMIUMS AVAILABLE** Duties of this position include: - Various activities to meet consumer needs including, but not limited to: meal preparation, cleaning of the facility, assisting with daily tasks, etc.
- Teaching group and individual basic living skills
- Providing transportation using system vehicle when required by the program
- Ensure efficient operation of the facility
- Assisting with medication using the MAC certification under nurse supervision
- Completing required documentation using an electronic health record system
Requirements: - HS Diploma/GED
- Must meet insurability requirements to drive a system vehicle (21 years of age).
- Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Must obtain CPR and MAC certification upon hire
- Prefer previous experience providing patient care in a mental health or substance abuse treatment environment
