Provides intensive, goal-directed services to support individuals who are in a mental health crisis which require crisis stabilization services.

Provide crisis stabilization services to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. Supports clients as it relates to daily living, medication compliance, goal management, crisis management, and client safety. Utilize deescalating skills when appropriate. Interact with clients in a positive and supporting manner. Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values. Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI). Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public.

Minimum Qualifications: Required Education and Experience High School diploma or GED equivalent Must be at least 21 years of age Required License/Certifications/Registrations Current BLS/CPR card from approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation, whichever comes first. Kansas Driver's License (if position requires driving) Auto Insurance equal to or greater than the Kansas Insurance requirements (if position requires driving) Successfully pass KBI, DCF, child abuse check, adult abuse registry, and routine motor-vehicle screens.
Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Education and Experience Two years or more professional experience in mental health services, crisis response, or a related field. Preferred License/Certifications/Registrations none
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Familiarity with community mental health services. Basic computer skills. Multi-tasking and prioritization skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
Physical Requirements: With or without accommodation. Light Work: Occasionally exerting up to 25 lbs - frequently exerting up to 10 lbs. 11-25% of the day may be standing or walking.
