Responsibilities

• Provide direct psychological services to university students, including individual, couples, and group counseling; conduct clinical assessments; and formulate diagnoses and treatment plans. Provides initial contact assessments, crisis intervention, and biopsychosocial evaluations for students. Provide clinical consultations to family members and campus community constituents.
• Serve the greater FSU community through providing outreach presentations, program consultation, liaisons, prevention programming, and serving on CAPS and university committees. Assume other responsibilities as assigned by the leadership team.
• Complete required documentation associated with clinical services such as biopsychosocial evaluations, emergency evaluations, progress notes, and termination summaries according to established policies and procedures.
• Provide clinical supervision and/or training of pre-masters interns. This may include providing presentations and/or leading of training seminars.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in a mental health field (e.g. social work, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy).
• Licensed or license-eligible in the State of Florida (Chapter 491, F.S.) to provide direct mental health counseling. If license eligible, license to be obtained within 3 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience and the ability to work with college students from various backgrounds is preferred.
• Experience in solving problems, dealing with crises, and managing sensitive information.
• Experience and/or knowledge related to psychological counseling and assessment.

Anticipated Salary Range

Starting at $75,000, commensurate with education and experience.
