Position Summary: The Mental Health Professional (MHP) functions as a clinical member of the multidisciplinary team and provides treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to clients enrolled in the LTSR program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: • individual and group therapy • case management • medication monitoring • assistance with the activities of daily living (ADL) • crisis intervention • psychosocial education • vocational support and supportive counseling The incumbent is expected to provide recovery-oriented interventions according to each clients individual treatment plan and maintain professional relationships with other providers, both internal and external to the program.

Minimum Qualifications: Masters level degree or higher in generally recognized clinical discipline and one (1) year of mental health clinical experience. Registered, licensed or certified if profession is governed by such a board in the Commonwealth.

Exceptional communication skills, both written & verbal, organizational skills & the ability to effectively work with a team of other mental health professionals. Strong clinical skills with working knowledge of the mental health system, psychiatric rehabilitation principles and recovery-oriented practices. Ability to effectively work with persons with mental illness, developmental disabilities, substance abuse disorders and forensic issues and encourage their participation with comprehensive treatment plans. Act 33/34/31 and FBI Clearances Valid drivers license with access to a vehicle during scheduled work hours.
