Hours per Week: 40 hours


Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Mental Health Coordinator to provide clinical mental health services within a correctional facility setting. This role focuses on delivering non-medical mental health care, including assessments, treatment planning, and crisis intervention, while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct mental health screenings and comprehensive assessments through record reviews and clinical interviews
  • Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and functional levels
  • Provide counseling, therapy, and crisis intervention services to inmates
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all evaluations and treatment activities
  • Ensure strict confidentiality of sensitive patient information
  • Apply evidence-based psychological counseling techniques in treatment delivery
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related clinical field from an accredited institution

Licensure & Certification:

  • Active and valid LPC, LCSW, or LMFT license in the state of practice

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, including at least 2 years in a similar role

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver's license preferred (if required by contract)

Schedule & Additional Information

  • 8-hour day shifts with weekday and weekend coverage as required
  • 40 hours per week guaranteed
  • Candidates must be flexible based on client scheduling needs
  • Auto-offer position

Clearance Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required for ICE clearance
  • Candidates will undergo a thorough background and credit check
  • ICE clearance timeline: Approximately 4 6 weeks
  • Start date will be confirmed upon clearance completion
