The Psychiatric Emergency Services Mental Health Consultant provides psychiatric evaluation and supportive intervention to patients identified as needing these services. The mental health consultant performs assessment to determine social services needed for disposition. The Mental Health Consultant functions as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team utilizing clinical skills in the therapeutic process to ensure delivery of quality mental health services to psychiatric patients and their families.
