SUMMARY

This position works with the Clinical Supervisor to help oversee delivery of consumer support services for assigned location. Supervises personnel to achieve service, clinical, and financial objectives with general resources and reimbursement models. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements through quality assurance activities. This position will provide services that promote consumer choice and facilitate independence. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below.  

 

  • Supervise and coaches staff.
  • Hires new employees, coordinates staff schedules across locations and delivers corrective actions when needed.
  • Assist with clinical over-site of all services at set location.
  • Assist Clinical Director with organizing admissions and discharges.
  • Conducts assessments (ex. Diagnostic, LOCUS, Mental Health Review, Suicidal, and evaluation level of danger/risk).
  • Interpret and summarize findings with recommended treatment/rehabilitation activities and goals.
  • Provide clinical input and supervision of treatment and plan development.
  • Prevent crisis at the lowest level possible before escalation.
  • Provide direct service to clients including individual and group counseling services.
  • May conduct weekly staff meeting for location in absence of the Clinical Director.
  • Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings.
  • Ensure quality assurance for the person(s) served outcomes and service outcomes.
  • Assist with overseeing compliance with locations license, federal, and state laws, and CARF accreditation.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed as required.
  • Report significant / major incidents or accidents and cooperate in external/internal investigations as requested.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages assigned personnel. Completes performance evaluations, orientation, and training. Makes decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similar actions. Resolves employee problems within position responsibilities.

 

Minimum Knowledge and Skills required for the Job

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required to perform the job.

 

Education and Experience: 

  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, or closely related field required from accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 4,000 hours (post BA) of verifiable work experience providing services and support to individuals with mental illness.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience in managing systems, processes, and people.

 

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

  • Possible case management responsibilities.
  • Requires licensure as a Licensed independent Clinical Social Worker or a licensed.
  • Psychologist, LPCC, or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
  • Valid driver's license and car insurance required.

 

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Medication management skills.
  • Time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work responsibly with high confidential information.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

 

Other Requirements:

  • Travel as needed.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.  If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
