Job Description
Please Note: Ottawa County Community Mental Health is currently transitioning to an independent authority. As of January 1, 2027, this position will be a part of the Ottawa County Community Mental Health Authority.
Under the supervision of the Director of Access and Connections, screens service requests for Community Mental Health services, connects individuals to resources, supports, and services within the community, provides referrals and assistance with navigating the behavioral health system, and coordinates care with community agencies. Services are provided face to face and over the phone. Services are provided at the CMH office and other locations, as necessary.
This is a full-time, benefited position working out of the James Street Complex located at 12265 James Street, Holland, MI. Typical working hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Essential Job Functions
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Required Education, Training and Experience
Bachelor's degree in a human services discipline is required. Two years of relevant experience in the behavioral health field is preferred. Knowledge of and experience with different cultural and ethnic groups within Ottawa County is strongly preferred. Lived experiences with mental illness, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders are valued. Bilingual (Spanish) with written and verbal medical translation skills preferred.
