Position Title: Men's and Women's Assistant Cross Country and Track & Field Coach.

FTE: 0.50.
Work Schedule: This position is a part-time role within the athletic department. It requires a flexible work schedule; nights and weekends are necessary, and traveling with teams is required.
Work Location: Hybrid. WFH 1-2 days a week. Will work on campus fully for the first three months.
Salary: $23,000.
Essential Job Duties:
Assist in all aspects of the instruction, practice planning, and advisement of the men's and women's cross country and track & field programs.
Assist the head coaches in implementing training programs and practice plans.
Provide quality coaching and instruction to student-athletes during pre-season, in-season practices, and competitions to cross country athletes and assigned distance events during indoor and outdoor track seasons.
Mentor student-athletes to promote athletic, emotional, and social growth.
Attend all competitions and assist with meet strategies.
Assist with meet preparation, meet set-up, and meet day needs.
Assist with travel arrangements, meal planning, fundraising activities, home competition management, and equipment issue/return/care.
Attend athletic department staff meetings and program staff meetings as able.
Assist in actively recruiting qualified student-athletes.
Assist in the execution of the recruiting plan with both head coaches that targets a diverse group of potential student-athletes who can achieve high levels of success academically, socially, and athletically.
Evaluate potential student athletes regularly, maintain consistent, effective, honest communication with potential student athletes, maintain contact with various coaches.
Participate in campus visits with prospective student-athletes in a professional manner.
Support, respect, and commit to embracing diverse backgrounds, values, and points of view to build a strong and inclusive community.
Comply with all NCAA Division III, MIAC, and St. Olaf Bylaws.
Perform other duties as assigned by the head coach or athletic department.
