Job Title: Membership Manager - Agile

Location: Remote

Job Summary:
System One is seeking an Agile Membership Manager for a remote opportunity. The Membership and Sponsorship Manager to help grow, retain, and renew Agile membership, while also supporting corporate sponsorships and partnership opportunities. This individual contributor role focuses on building strong relationships with members and sponsors, leading outreach and renewal efforts, and helping strengthen the overall value our Agile Member Organization provides to its community.

This person will work closely across our organization, and other internal teams to support broader community and business goals. We’re looking for someone who can think strategically but also jump into day-to-day work, manage relationships independently, and keep initiatives moving forward. The ideal candidate brings a solid understanding of Agile principles and practices and can comfortably speak with member organizations about how resources, programs, and connections can help support agility across teams and organizations. Strong communication skills, relationship management, and the ability to balance strategy with execution are key for success in this role.
Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to recruit, engage, retain, and renew individual and corporate members.
  • Lead member and sponsor outreach, relationship management, and renewal efforts, serving as a primary point of contact for assigned accounts and stakeholders.
  • Review existing membership programs, benefits, and engagement opportunities, and recommend improvements to strengthen the organization’s value proposition.
  • Research and recommend corporate membership and sponsorship benefits to support retention, growth, and long-term partner value.
  • Track membership, sponsorship, and campaign performance, and prepare regular updates, including monthly reports and annual progress reporting.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with members, volunteers, sponsors, and partners, representing the organization in a professional and service-oriented way.
  • Manage and optimize the Association Management System (Rhythm), including data quality, reporting, workflow use, and evaluation of system capabilities for registration and related member processes.
  • Regularly review membership processes and data practices to help ensure privacy compliance, appropriate data collection, and effective use of member information.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on initiatives that support membership value, sponsor visibility, and broader organizational goals.
  • Support member-facing events, virtual programming, and recognition activities when they contribute to member engagement, sponsor fulfillment, or retention goals.
Qualifications:
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and consultative sales skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Comfort with data tracking, reporting, and using insights to recommend improvements.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal teams, external partners, volunteers, and senior stakeholders.
  • Sound judgment, professionalism, and a member-service mindset.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Occasional travel up to 10%, primarily for events, meetings, or community-related activities.
