Member Service Representative

Trellis Health is seeking Member Service Representative for their location in Brunswick, Maine to play a vital role in supporting both administrative functions and Member care within a healthcare clinic.

Requirements:

· Office experience required, medical office preferred.

· Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to perform, manage, and appropriately prioritize multiple tasks.

· Familiarity with and ability to effectively utilize general office equipment.

· Ability to interact with diverse populations with care and empathy and to engage in active listening.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly in person and on the phone.

· Strong computer skills.

· Ability to read, understand, and follow verbal and written instructions.

· Ability to work independently and as a team member with minimal direct supervision.

· Ability to interact effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary health care team.

· Ability to maintain a calm demeanor and to make sound decisions in challenging situations.

· Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with organizational policy and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

· Answer and manage incoming calls, tests, and email messages timely, with a consistently high level of professionalism and courtesy.

· Schedule Member appointments and manage appointment bookings, changes, confirmations, and cancellations.

· Greet Members upon arrival at the clinic and register and/or check in Members in the computer systems.

· Respond to inquiries from Members, caregivers, and other stakeholders promptly and professionally, upholding Trellis Health's commitment to exceptional customer service by actively listening to, empathetically responding to, and effectively resolving Member inquiries and concerns.

· Manage Member data, collecting, verifying, entering, and monitoring Member information with strict adherence to federal, state, and organizational confidentiality policies.

· Perform general office and administrative tasks, including, but not limited to, making copies, sending/distributing faxes, opening and sorting incoming mail, filing paperwork, maintaining records, and assisting with office organization.

· Participate in the referral process according to established clinic procedures.

· Maintain working knowledge and understanding of insurance plans.

· Maintain daily provider schedules.

· Scan and maintain medical records.
