Partner with Foundation leaders and process owners to assess workflows, identify automation opportunities, and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Lead the architecture, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization of advanced Power Automate cloud flows and desktop flows.
Build production-ready automations for priority operational use cases, which may include:
o Shared mailbox intake, classification, routing, and response management
o Invoice submission, validation, approval routing, status tracking, and exception management
o T-shirt, promotional-item, or program-material request and approval workflows
o Notifications, reminders, escalations, and service-level tracking
o Data collection, reconciliation, reporting, and audit-trail creation
Integrate Power Automate with Microsoft 365 applications and enterprise platforms, including Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Forms, Power Apps, Dataverse, and approved third-party systems.
Apply advanced Power Automate capabilities, including expressions, variables, arrays, nested logic, child flows, parallel branches, approvals, custom connectors, APIs, HTTP actions, JSON parsing, error handling, and retry logic.
Evaluate when Power Automate, Power Apps, robotic process automation, AI Builder, Copilot Studio, or another approved solution is most appropriate for the business need.
Develop secure and scalable solutions that comply with Medtronic technology, data privacy, cybersecurity, records-management, and access-control requirements.
Establish development standards for naming conventions, environment management, connection references, solution packaging, documentation, versioning, testing, deployment, monitoring, and support.
Implement appropriate exception handling, alerts, logging, recovery procedures, and operational controls for automated processes.
Troubleshoot complex flow failures, connector limitations, performance issues, permissions, dependencies, and data-quality challenges.
Develop prototypes and proofs of concept to validate feasibility, business value, user experience, and technical risk before full implementation.
Create process maps, solution designs, technical documentation, test scripts, support guides, and user training materials.
Measure and communicate automation outcomes, including cycle-time reduction, hours redirected, error reduction, adoption, reliability, and user experience.
Provide knowledge transfer, coaching, and practical training to Foundation employees who will support or maintain solutions.
Help establish a prioritized automation roadmap and reusable patterns that can be scaled across Foundation programs and operations.
Coordinate with Medtronic enterprise technology teams to ensure solutions align with platform governance and approved architecture.
Maintain awareness of evolving Microsoft Power Platform capabilities and recommend enhancements that provide measurable operational value.

Minimum Requirements To be considered for this role, the following minimum qualifications must be evident on the candidate's r sum :
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in automation, application development, business process technology, or a related discipline; or an advanced degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Minimum of 7 years of substantial, hands-on experience designing and deploying Microsoft Power Automate solutions in a production enterprise environment.
Demonstrated expert-level proficiency with Power Automate cloud flows, approvals, expressions, data operations, error handling, connectors, and workflow orchestration.
Experience developing complex, multi-step automations that integrate multiple systems, data sources, users, approval levels, and exception paths.
Experience integrating Power Automate with SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, Excel, Forms, Power Apps, and Dataverse.
Experience using REST APIs, HTTP actions, authentication methods, and custom or premium connectors.
Experience with environment strategy, solutions, connection references, deployment, monitoring, and application lifecycle management within the Microsoft Power Platform.
Demonstrated ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex automation failures and performance issues.
Experience translating ambiguous business needs into documented technical requirements and scalable solutions.
Strong understanding of data security, role-based access, least-privilege principles, auditability, and enterprise technology controls.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple automation initiatives while working approximately 20 hours per week. Develops, documents, and configures systems specifications that conform to defined architecture standards, address business requirements, and processes. Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting hardware and software compliance and security standards. Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements and characteristics of overall system. Establishes and documents system design, parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software systems functionality, performance and compatibility, and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of configurations, such as existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities. Actively identifies system functionality or performance deficiencies, executes changes to existing systems, and tests functionality of the system to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, data integrity, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.
