Our client is looking for Medical Waste Technicians in San Antonio, TX!
This is a 3-month contract opportunity offering a starting pay rate of $18 an hour.
Locations/Schedule:
- 4502 Medical Dr, San Antonio, TX – 6:30am to 3pm
Job Summary
Support hospital waste operations, including collection, handling, packaging, and transport of medical waste, sharps, and pharmaceutical waste.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and manage medical and sharps waste throughout facility
- Ensure proper segregation, labeling, and regulatory compliance
- Maintain accurate logs and housekeeping standards
- Follow all safety procedures (EPA, OSHA, DOT)
- Wear required PPE
- Provide strong customer service
Requirements
- Valid Texas driver’s license (no state ID only)
- Reliable personal transportation (no rideshare/public transit)
- Comfortable walking 10–12 miles daily
- Comfortable working in a medical environment and receiving required vaccinations
- High School Diploma/GED (Associate’s preferred)
- Experience with medical waste/sharps preferred
- 24-hour HAZWOPER preferred

- Hep A and B
- Varicella
