The adjunct instructor will teach Medical Terminology I courses within the Medical Office Administration and Physical Therapy programs. Instruction will be delivered online and aligned with college-level standards to promote student success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Teaching Responsibilities

  • Conduct all assigned classes in a professional manner in accordance with the course schedule and academic calendar.
  • Develop and maintain syllabi that meet Faculty Syllabus Checklist requirements.
  • Design, administer, and assess assignments aligned with general education requirements and the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP).
  • Maintain accurate attendance records, grades, and required documentation.
  • Assist in textbook selection and ensure course materials remain current.
  • Participate in institutional effectiveness efforts.
  • Submit student work when required for General Education Assessment.
  • Support student success through supplemental instruction.
  • Adhere to all college policies and procedures.
  • Maintain responsibility for assigned equipment and instructional materials.

Professional Development

  • Participate in required on-campus professional development activities.
  • Engage in additional college-sponsored development opportunities as available.

Required Qualifications

Associate degree in a healthcare field or Medical Office Administration.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
