Job Summary and Qualifications
The Medical Technologist has the appropriate educational background to perform laboratory procedures using established and approved protocols that require the broad exercise of independent judgement and responsibility with minimal technical supervision.
What you will do in this role
Determines priority on patient care and completes work within appropriate time frame.
Delegates work appropriately to job classification with clear concise directions.
Ensures accuracy & completeness of work performed.
Follows hospital policy and procedure in performing job functions skills and tasks.
Willing to adjust personal schedule in cases of workload fluctuations or other departmental needs.
When assigned work is complete it seeks additional tasks to be done.
Perform well in stress and emergency situations demonstrating effective coping skills
Follows through with assignments and informs supervisor if unable to complete task.
What qualifications you will need
Bachelor Degree in a Chemical Physical Biological or Medical Technology
Clinical Laboratory Science MTCLS from an accredited institution.
MT ASCP or equivalent required.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical laboratory preferred.
