This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health (OMH), Coastal Empire Mental Health Center (CEMHC), Beaufort Clinic, 1050 Ribaut Rd., Beaufort, SC 29902
As the Med Tech, working under direct supervision of the Area Coordinator, you will perform administrative duties in support of staff in the assigned clinic of the Coastal Empire Mental Health Center.
Responsibilities for the Med Tech include:
Under direction of Center prescribers, perform Prior Authorization (PA) process for patient prescriptions, including coordination with
prescribers, completion of all relevant documentation, communication with pharmaceutical companies, pharmacies, insurance companies and
coordination with Center staff. Under supervision, will do medication inventory tasks. Training by medical chief and nursing supervisor.

Be able to maintain effective working relationships with staff and the public
