Title:  Medical Technician/Endoscopy Technician
Payrange:  $20/hr- $21/hr

We are a busy, highly respected, independent gastroenterology practice featuring two physicians and a nurse practitioner. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional, specialized patient care in a supportive environment.

We’re looking for team members with open availability on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. While you will not be scheduled for all three days every week, we offer great opportunities to expand your skill set, and take on additional shifts or work days as you grow with us.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Endoscopy Technician to work directly alongside our physicians in the procedure room, ensuring top-tier patient safety and clinical efficiency while taking full ownership of equipment management, infection control, and room readiness.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Procedure Assistance: Work directly in the procedure room with the doctor, providing hands-on intra-procedure support, including gathering necessary tools and supplies.
•    Equipment Management: Set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot delicate endoscopic equipment and towers to ensure optimal functioning during cases; maintain medical equipment through proper cleaning, testing, and documentation in required logs.
•    Specimen Handling: Safely collect, label, and process biopsy and tissue specimens according to strict medical protocols. Ensure results are recorded in the log and accurately reconciled in the patient record.
•    Sterilization & Reprocessing: Meticulously perform point-of-use cleaning, manual washing, and high-level disinfection (HLD) of flexible endoscopes and accessories in accordance with CDC and manufacturer guidelines.
•    Room Turnover: Rapidly and thoroughly clean and prep procedure rooms between patients to maintain a safe, sterile, and efficient clinical environment.

Qualifications & Requirements:
•    High school diploma or equivalent required.
•    Previous experience in a GI/endoscopy setting or sterile processing strongly preferred but not required.
•    Ability to work well with others and take instruction. 
•    Ability to develop a deep understanding of high-level disinfection, OSHA, and infection control standards.
•    Ability to stand for long periods and thrive in a high volume, fast-paced medical environment.
•    Compassionate and professional demeanor when communicating with patients.
•    Proficiency in Electronic Health Record software (Medent) a plus. 
•    Degree or certification a plus: Medical Technician, Medical Assistant, Surgical Technician, Endoscope Reprocessor or Endoscopy Technician 
•    Current BLS.
