The Cytopathology department at MD Anderson plays a vital role in early detection and diagnosis by processing, preparing, and evaluating a wide range of patient specimens with precision and consistency. Our team supports clinicians across the institution by ensuring high-quality cytologic samples, reliable pre-analytical processes, and timely workflow that directly impacts patient care and diagnostic accuracy.
As a Medical Technician II, you will contribute to this mission by performing critical specimen accessioning, assisting with FNA triage, preparing specialized materials such as cell blocks and density gradients, and supporting staining and equipment maintenance. Your role strengthens the integrity of our laboratory operations through meticulous quality control, proper documentation, equipment troubleshooting, and efficient workflow management. In Cytopathology, your technical expertise and attention to detail help ensure that each patient's sample is handled with accuracy, safety, and urgency.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelors in a science related field. The hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5:30pm.
