About This Role

Care Team Manager (Medical Assistant) exists to lead and support Medical Assistants while ensuring workflows run smoothly and care is delivered efficiently, accurately, and with compassion. This role serves as a critical bridge between care teams and operations—helping create a seamless, organized, and high-quality experience for every member.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead and develop a team of Medical Assistants, providing real-time support, coaching, and guidance
  • Partner closely with providers and care teams to ensure coordinated, efficient, and patient-centered care
  • Help keep care delivery running smoothly by identifying gaps, removing friction, and improving workflows
  • Directly impact member experience by ensuring care is timely, accurate, and easy to navigate

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and develop Medical Assistants through hiring, training, coaching, and ongoing support
  • Coordinate care by partnering with providers, case managers, and care teams to ensure a seamless member experience
  • Optimize operations by identifying inefficiencies and implementing scalable solutions
  • Standardize workflows, SOPs, and documentation practices to improve consistency and quality
  • Support escalations by stepping in on complex or sensitive cases requiring leadership oversight
  • Drive accountability by monitoring performance metrics and ensuring consistent team output
  • Collaborate with Claims, Care Logistics, Customer Success, and other cross-functional teams

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) required
  • 3+ years of experience in a medical setting
  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Proven ability to coach, develop, and lead teams
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows and patient coordination
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in a remote, tech-enabled environment
  • A people-first mindset with a passion for helping others
  • Must be based in the Phoenix, AZ area or able to reliably commute to an in-person work environment.
