Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• BSN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Idaho license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System.

Additional Details:

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: - Must be able to read and interpret telemetry; RNs are required to read and interpret their own strips.

Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Current or previous employees may be considered only with a one-off exception approved by St. Luke’s Health System. - Holiday coverage required if needed.

Unit Details: - Primarily a medical floor with some surgical overflow; common patients include respiratory, GI, general medical, and behavioral health patients held from the ER for discharge planning. - Must be willing to take students and may precept new travelers. - No titratable drips; common drips include heparin, PCA, and morphine drips. - Uses CPAP, BiPAP (managed by RT), high-flow oxygen, virtual telemetry techs, and SpaceLab; transitioning to Philips by end of June.

Shift & Scheduling: - 5 weekend shifts in a 6-week period.

Floating Requirements: - First to float. Will float between MedSurg 5 and MedSurg 6; may also float to like units in the system, including Boise Medical Center and Nampa Medical Center (both about 8 miles away), and could float to the ER for holds.

7 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years

Driver’s license required for submission
