Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a New York license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Centralus Health (Direct) and no current placement allowed at Program: Centralus Health (Direct).
• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Centralus Health (Direct) and no current placement allowed at Program: Centralus Health (Direct).
• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Centralus Health (Direct) and no current placement allowed at Program: Centralus Health (Direct).

Additional Details:
Required Credentials: Centralus Core Competency Exam required; minimum passing score 80% or higher. Rhythm Interpretation Exam required. Pharmacology Exam required.

Candidates holding a Canadian-issued license must submit proof of active TN visa status or documentation demonstrating eligibility for TN classification under the USMCA. Travelers employed by Cayuga Health or its affiliate, Schuyler Hospital, within the past 12 months will not be considered. Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed but may be accommodated when possible. All employment and gaps from the last 7 years must be accounted for, or back to graduation date.
Unit Details: This unit cares for some medical patients but is primarily surgical. Common surgical cases include joint replacements, hip fractures, open abdominal surgeries, and neck and back surgeries.

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years
