Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse to provide care for patients with cardiac and stroke-related diagnoses in an acute care setting. Candidates must be proficient in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia management, IV insertion, and phlebotomy, as these are required competencies.

Required Clinical Skills:
- Phlebotomy
- Peripheral IV Insertion and Management

- Rapid Response Team Participation
- Peripheral Line Care and Maintenance
- Oxygen Therapy Management
- Non-Invasive Airway Management
- Isolation Precautions
Patient Population:
- Cardiac Patients
- Stroke Patients
Nursing Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments
- Administer medications and treatments
- Monitor telemetry and respond appropriately to rhythm changes
- Initiate and maintain IV access
- Perform blood draws and specimen collection
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Provide patient and family education
- Document care accurately in the electronic medical record
Support Staff Available:
Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) assist with:
- Vital Signs
- Blood Glucose Monitoring
- EKGs
- Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
Equipment Experience:
- Hoyer Lifts
- Nasal Cannula Oxygen Delivery
- Oxygen Face Masks
- Portable Oxygen Tanks
- Telemetry Monitoring Equipment
Preferred Experience:
- Epic Electronic Medical Record System
