Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Float Pool experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is required.
• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.
• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Minimum 1 year recent MS experience in a busy large hospital, min 200 beds. Will not take first-time travelers. Will consider first-time travelers if their primary experience is resource pool/float pool.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous float pool experience preferred.
Special Requests: Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and whether the facility was a teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job. Must take a full 6 months off from any Sanford Health, Good Samaritan Society, or Marshfield Clinic Health System location before submission. Must disclose previous employment on the resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. Skills checklist cannot contain any N/As; all lines must have a numerical rating.
Unit Details: Uses Accudose Rx, Alaris IV pumps, and Philips vitals machines. Nurse to patient ratio: 1:4-5 from 7a-11p & 1:5-6 from 11p-7a.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend and holiday. Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
Floating Requirements: Will call in daily to find out the unit they are working on for that shift. Floats across all med-surg units on the Broadway, SMCF, and South University campuses (South University more rare than SMCF), including med-surg overflow spaces and med-surg status patients within the critical care units. Specialty float areas include oncology, general med-surg, trauma med-surg, cardiac, neuro, observation, medical behavioral, and innovations.

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
Driver’s license required for submission
