Join Community Options, Inc. as a Medical Support Coordinator and play a vital role in ensuring individuals receive timely, accurate, and coordinated medical care. This highly detail-oriented position supports the medical needs of individuals receiving services through appointment scheduling, medication coordination, medical documentation, and communication with providers, pharmacies, staff, and internal teams. The role combines administrative responsibilities with hands-on support, including transporting individuals to appointments using agency vehicles.
Successful candidates are organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. Responsibilities include coordinating medical, dental, and therapeutic appointments; maintaining medical records and medication documentation; review and/or complete all assigned paperwork; completes filing in medication books, making sure new orders are matched to those who had changes; processing referrals, releases, care plans, and MARs; supporting medication management and insurance coordination; participate in medication distribution; pick up medication from pharmacies, submits new doctor's orders, handles all issues with adaptive equipment, etc., generating reports; and ensuring compliance with agency and regulatory requirements. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as this position works closely with nurses, providers, pharmacies, and program staff. Communicates client related issues to the nurse when needed.
Qualified applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid Colorado driver's license with an acceptable driving record, and the ability to meet agency hiring and eligibility requirements. Experience in human services or a medical setting is preferred. Candidates must be willing to obtain Medication Administration, First Aid, and CPR certifications within 90 days; paid training is provided.
