MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: GS-05 Specialized Experience Statement: Your resume must demonstrate at least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 level in the federal service. Examples of qualifying experience include: Processing, assembling, preparing, sterilizing, storing, and issuing sterile and unsterile medical instruments, supplies, or equipment; operating washer-sterilizer, ultrasonic instrument cleaners, and gas or steam sterilizers, following proper decontamination, sterilization, and storage procedures; using aseptic techniques, and applying basic knowledge of medical/surgical terminology, therapeutic procedures, and human anatomy and physiology. OR: 4-year course of study above high school leading to a bachelor''s degree with courses related to the occupation. OR: The combination of education and experience must equal at least 100% to qualify. Applicants qualifying through education or a combination of education and experience must provide copies of their transcripts. GS-06 Specialized Experience Statement: Your resume must demonstrate at least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level in the federal service. Examples of qualifying experience include: Processing, assembling, preparing, sterilizing, storing, and issuing sterile and unsterile medical supplies and equipment; and operating, testing, adjusting, and troubleshooting washer-sterilizer, ultrasonic instrument cleaners, gas or steam sterilizers, and other sterilization equipment, following proper decontamination, sterilization, and storage procedures; using aseptic techniques, and applying basic knowledge of medical/surgical terminology, therapeutic procedures, and human anatomy and physiology; and providing technical guidance or instructions on proper handling and use of sterile processing equipment and supplies.
