Qualifications:
Required Skills:
- Minimum of one (1) year working in medical staff credentialing strongly preferred.
Additional Qualifications/Skills:
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of the medical staff credentialing and re-credentialing process, Medical Staff Bylaws and applicable hospital policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Familiar with current Joint Commission standards, State and Federal Law pertaining to the Medical Staff and applies them to the credentialing process as needed.
- Demonstrates a high level of resourcefulness and confidentiality, focusing on attention to detail and balancing multiple tasks
- Demonstrates general computer skills including: data entry, word processing, email, and record management.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain quality and safety standards.
- Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.
- Ability to work closely and professionally with others.
Responsibilities:
Processes applications and verifies licensing and certifications. May serve as the liaison between the medical staff and all hospital departments to coordinate and provide overall continuity of medical staff activities. Integrates the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.
