POSITION AVAILABLE: Medical Spending Account (MSA) Account Executive

POSITION LOCATION: Telecommute or SWWC Office

POSITION SUMMARY: The Medical Spending Account (MSA) Account Executive is responsible for growing and supporting MHC's medical spending account program, including HSAs, HRAs, FSAs, VEBA plans, and Cobra services. This role serves as a trusted advisor to public-sector employers and brokers, partnering with internal teams and the third-party administrator to deliver an excellent employer and employee experience. You will play a key role in client acquisition, retention, education, and strategic expansion of MHC's MSA offeringshelping employers maximize value through competitive fees, strong service, and practical guidance.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Client & Relationship Management: Serve as the subject matter expert for the MHC MSA program; Build and maintain strong relationships with vendor partners, brokers, and MHC affiliated staff; Partner with internal teams to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery; Coordinate with the third-party administrator to resolve escalated service, operational, or compliance issues.

Program Growth & Business Development: Support growth of the MSA program by assisting with onboarding and implementation for new employers; Identify opportunities to expand adoption of HSAs, FSAs, HRAs, VEBA accounts and Cobra services; Participate in employer meetings, webinars, and membership events to educate and position the program's value; Collaborate with consultants, leadership, sales and account management to integrate MSAs into broader benefit strategies.

Consultative & Strategic Support: Act as a subject-matter resource on medical spending accounts and consumer-directed benefit strategies in the public sector; Advise employers on plan design considerations, funding approaches, and employee engagement best practices; Help employers understand how MSA programs can support tax efficiency, consumerism, and recruitment/retention goals; Support RFPs, renewals, and vendor discussions as needed.

Education & Employee Engagement: Coordinate and support employee education initiatives (e.g., open enrollment meetings, webinars, and training sessions); Partner with internal teams and the third-party administrator to develop and deliver clear educational materials; Ensure employers and employees understand how to use their accounts effectively and maximize value.

Vendor & Operational Oversight: Serve as a liaison between MHC and the third-party administrator to support service performance, reporting, and smooth implementation; Assist with troubleshooting eligibility, contributions, distributions, and reporting issues. Monitor and escalate issues related to service standards and operational performance. Provides good public relations and customer service with member districts, staff, parents and the general public; Follows all policies and regulations; Regular and prompt attendance is essential; Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, human resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience); 37+ years of experience in employee benefits, account management, or consultative client-facing roles; Working knowledge of HSAs, FSAs, HRAs, Cobra, and VEBA plans strongly preferred; Experience supporting public-sector employers or large multi-employer groups is a plus; Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable with brokers, HR, finance, and executive stakeholders; Highly organized and self-directed; able to work effectively in a collaborative, matrixed environment. Valid Driver's License.

CONTRACT/SALARY: Compensation range of $125,000 to $175,000 depending on experience. Benefits: A comprehensive and competitive benefits package from one of the Regional Service Cooperatives is included.
