Position Description:
Are you willing to go the extra mile to deliver stellar customer service As the Medical Records Clerk, you'll have the opportunity to be one of our clients' first encounters with  County Clinical Services. In this role, you will register patients, collect payments, prepare and maintain the electronic medical records for the clients we serve, following HIPPA guidelines. Your interaction with our clients will create a lasting impression. YOU can make a difference!       

Skills Required
Registering Patients -HIPAA Compliance -Collecting Payments -Preparing & Maintaining Electronic Medical Records -Customer Service -Computer Skills       

Skills Preferred
Bilingual skills in English and Spanish           

Experience Required
6 months experience registering patients in an electronic medical records system in a healthcare setting. A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis   

Experience Preferred
Experience gathering data from patients and creating medical records Cashiering or cash handling experience       

Education Required
High School Diploma or GED A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis     

Education Preferred

Certification as a Public Health or Community Health Worker from an accredited college or currently enrolled in a Public Health or Community Health Worker program and eligible to receive a certification within six (6) months of hire
