Key Responsibilities:
- Record Management: Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, with a preference for Point-Click-Care (PCC).
- Compliance & Confidentiality: Ensure all documentation complies with state, federal, and organizational guidelines while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Data Entry & Coding: Assist with preliminary coding tasks and support the Health Information Management (HIM) processes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with clinical staff to verify record accuracy and facilitate smooth communication across departments.
- Audits & Quality Control: Conduct periodic audits of medical records to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Training & Support: Provide guidance to staff on proper documentation practices and use of EMR systems.
- Reporting: Generate reports as required for regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and management reviews.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in electronic medical record-keeping or a related field. Point-Click-Care (PCC) preferred.
- Certification: Registered Health Information Technicians (RHIT) or related experience in preliminary coding are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong organizational, administrative, and computer skills.
- Knowledge: Medical terminology and record-keeping practices.
- Integrity: Ability to work discreetly with sensitive and confidential information.
