The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for receiving, validating, documenting, and responding to requests for information contained in medical records. This role will primarily handle inquiries from third-party payors. | |

Education/Licensure/Certification: | High School Diploma or equivalent (required) Postsecondary certificate in health information or medical office administration (preferred) | |

Required Knowledge: | Strong knowledge of HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 | |
| ||
Experience Required | Must have Release of Information experience – HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 Previous experience with electronic health records or other related office experience | |

Skill and Ability: | Ability to handle confidential information responsibly Attention to detail and accuracy Strong written and verbal communication skills | |
