At Bedford Commons OBGYN, our commitment to providing Uncommon Care begins the moment a patient walks through our doors or calls our office. We are seeking a full-time, enthusiastic, patient-focused Patient Access Representative to join our collaborative front office team.
This role is ideal for someone with strong customer service or medical office experience who enjoys creating positive patient experiences, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and values teamwork. As a key member of our organization, you will play an essential role in ensuring patients feel welcomed, informed, and supported throughout their care journey.
What You'll Do
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Welcome and engage with patients in a warm, professional, and compassionate manner.
- Communicate registration procedures and appointment expectations to patients upon arrival and during scheduling.
- Schedule appointments in person and over the phone using an electronic medical scheduling system.
- Manage patient call volume through a multi-line phone queue.
- Accurately review and update patient demographic and insurance information.
- Collect patient co-payments and process payments appropriately.
- Maintain confidentiality while working with sensitive patient and medical information.
- Navigate multiple software systems efficiently and accurately.
- Collaborate with providers and staff to support a strong team-based approach to patient care.
- Maintain reliable attendance in accordance with practice attendance expectations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Comfort navigating multiple computer systems and software platforms
Preferred Experience
- 1–3+ years of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or patient-facing setting
- Medical office or patient registration experience strongly preferred
- Experience with appointment scheduling, insurance verification, or electronic medical records is a plus
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Start and end times may vary slightly based on location and schedule needs
- Must be available to rotate between office locations
Locations
Bedford Commons OBGYN operates across multiple sites including Bedford, Derry, Londonderry, and Windham of New Hampshire. The selected candidate will be expected to rotate across all office locations as needed.
