The Opportunity

A busy outpatient radiology department in Syracuse, NY is looking for a Medical Radiologic Technologist to join a collaborative team focused on high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient-centered care. This full-time, Monday–Friday role offers broad hands-on experience across general radiography, DEXA, and C-arm OR imaging — making it an excellent fit for both experienced technologists and new graduates ready to launch their careers.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Review and interpret physician orders accurately under department supervision
  • Position patients and apply immobilization devices to ensure diagnostic image quality
  • Operate radiologic equipment and adjust exposure settings for optimal results
  • Perform general radiography, DEXA imaging, and C-arm assistance in the OR
  • Evaluate images for technical quality and diagnostic completeness prior to submission
  • Apply ALARA principles through proper collimation, shielding, and exposure techniques to protect patients and staff
  • Maintain sterile technique during OR C-arm procedures
  • Work within PACS, RIS, and EMS systems to support efficient department operations
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on equipment and coordinate maintenance as needed
  • Keep work areas stocked and ready; collaborate with the broader radiology team

What We're Looking For

Required

  • Associate's Degree in Medical Radiography
  • Current ARRT certification and registration
  • Active state licensure as required
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
  • Additional specialty certification may be required depending on assigned area

Preferred

  • 1–2+ years of radiologic technologist experience
  • Outpatient radiology background
  • Familiarity with OR imaging and C-arm procedures
