Medical Practice Patient Representative Clerical Office Assistant - NHMP Danbury GynecologyOncology - Danbury CT
Per Diem as-needed, 8-hour shifts, 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday
Summary: Provides clerical and administrative support and coordinates the patient care activities for medical practice.
Responsibilities:
• Greets and welcomes patients upon arrival and communicates pleasantly and effectively. • Ensures accuracy of patients information, including demographics and insurance. • Answers phones, routes calls, takes messages, and assures accurate communication both verbally and via the EMR system. • Registers, verifies, and schedules patient appointments, testing, and referrals. • Schedules and reschedules appointments according to office protocols. • Monitors applications and manages worklists as applicable. • Collects co-pays and reconciles money for deposit. • Obtains and coordinates record retrieval for new and established patients. • Performs intake and processing of medical records and other documentation where applicable. • Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position. • Maintains and models the organizations values. • Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance. • Performs other duties as required.
Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent • 1 year of customer-related experience required • Preferred 1 year of healthcare experience
PRN Rate: $23.25 hourly
Additional Salary Detail: The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a team members base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered, such as location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget, and internal equity.
