Preferred Experience:
- Eclipse, and Oncentra treatment planning systems
- HDR planning and treatment.
- ARIA ROIS and Mosiaq ROIS
- SBRT and SRS procedures
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have
- CAMPEP Accredited Residency Program in Medical Physics
- Valid Texas Medical Board license
- American Board of Radiology certification or board eligible
- Preferred two years of experience as a certified medical physicist
- Working knowledge of SRS, SBRT, and HDR
- Experience with Varian linear accelerators
- Experience with Eclipse Planning system
- Experience with Oncentra Planning system
- Strong organization and oral / written communication skills
Details:
- 1 TrueBeam + 1 Clinac 21EX
- Eclipse Tx Planning System
- One other Physicist on site (Wichita) - Solo at Odessa
- Approx 35 patients per day on TrueBeam, with about 25 patients per day on the Clinac 21EX.
- Occasional remote coverage of Physics Tasks for Texas Oncology sites in Abilene, Amarillo, Lubbock and Odessa.
- No brachytherapy procedures at Wichita Falls.
- Sun Nuclear Corporation Machine Physics QA software for linear accelerator QA analysis and tracking.
- Sun Nuclear Corporation MapCheck device for IMRT / VMAT verification plan QA.
- Nice group of people to work with (no drama - just lets get things done / solved attitude, which is nice)
- 1 Radiation Oncologist - professional and polite. He usually buys lunch for the department staff every Friday.
- Breakfast (lots of leftovers) usually available once or twice a week as provided by visiting pharmaceutical representatives.
- No onsite cafeteria / food service in the building, but they do provide a very well stocked coffee and tea dispensary.
