Responsibilities:

The Medical Office Specialist provides clinical and administrative support to Surgical Oncology physicians in an outpatient hospital setting. This role is essential in ensuring efficient patient flow, high-quality care delivery, and a positive patient experience.

The staff member demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the ages of patients served and applies these principles to provide individualized, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Room patients and obtain vital signs, including height, weight, blood pressure, and temperature
  • Assist with maintaining efficient patient flow throughout the office
  • Support physicians and clinical staff during patient visits and office procedures
  • Prepare exam rooms and assist with in-office procedures as needed
  • Schedule patient appointments, including follow-ups and new patient visits
  • Obtain and upload outside medical records and radiology imaging for new and established patients
  • Coordinate retrieval of necessary documentation to support continuity of care
  • Order and maintain clinical office supplies
  • Provide general administrative and clinical support to the care team

Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Education and Work Experience:
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • A minimum of one year experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
  • Other Requirements:
    • May be required to travel to satellite offices.
Min: USD $18.66/Hr. Max: USD $30.79/Hr. Benefits:
